Bakso is made with beef. When it is done with fish, it is called 'Bakso Ikan', with chicken meat is called 'Bakso Ayam', and with tofu, it is called 'Bakso Tahu'. Now we make Bakso meatballs, the preparation is very easy, with my new cake machine, all dishes will be easy to prepare.... so I have to introduce my cake machine first...

It's a Kenwood KM 353 Chef Classic cake machine, I'm very happy with it. The case except for the upper arm is all made of metal, nevertheless, it is very heavy, so that it moves very little even at maximum output. The stirring tool is also made of metal.

The bowl cover is transparent and very robust. The cake machine is noisy, but it's not that loud either, I can still hear the radio while touching on stage 4, but it does more than any other food processor.

At the moment, it costs 199€, with this price I get a cake machine with a bowl, bowl cover, dough scraper and three-piece patisserie set consisting of balloon snow whisk, dough hook and K-hook. Here it is on amazon advertising

For this, I bought a Kenwood meat grinder essay AT 950 A for 70€ (or so), this meat grinder is an attachment for my food processor Kenwood Chef Classic, so I can make minced meat for Bakso myself. I also use this meat grinder to crush the spices (shallots, garlic cloves, chili, etc.) and nuts (kemiri nuts, cashew, and peanut)... good bye my mortar...

This package cake machine also includes a serial number, this number is for exchange for 1 recipe book. Did I do this, and a week later I get a recipe book with 70 delicious recipes, by post, at no extra cost... Nice...!

So, here I make Bakso meatballs with my new cake machine, the video chef you will find at the end.

To get firm and loose meatballs, we need to stir the dough long, at least for 15 minutes on a medium level.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef goulash
  • 300 gr tapioca flour
  • 300 ml ice-cold water from ice cubes.

Spices:

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt

Preparation:

  • Wolf beef goulash and garlic cloves with a meat grinder.
  • Add the tapioca flour, ice-cold water, salt, and sugar and stir to a low level, then stir on the 4th level for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Form the mixture with your hands' small balls (see video below) and boil in boiling water over low heat.
  • If the Bakso ball floats, continue simmering for 5 minutes, then they are.
